Ronaldo put in a very determined effort.

In the 7th minute, Aleksandar Mitrovic scored accurately to give Al Hilal the lead. Both teams, being fierce rivals, had numerous clashes, leading the referee to issue 6 yellow cards in the first half alone, with 4 of them to Al Hilal.

Unable to score in the first half, Al Nassr continued to press forward in the second half. However, disaster struck in the 55th minute when goalkeeper Ospina handled the ball outside the box and received a direct red card.

Despite this setback, Al Nassr didn’t give up and continued to seek an equalizer. In the 87th minute, the numbers were leveled when Al Hilal’s Al Bulayhi was sent off. One minute later, Yahya rose high to head the ball into the net, equalizing the score at 1-1.

The drama continued as Al Hilal lost another player when center-back Koulibaly received a second yellow card from referee Herrera. Despite 10 minutes of added time, Al Nassr couldn’t break through Al Hilal’s defense, leading to extra time. The additional 30 minutes couldn’t decide the winner, necessitating a penalty shootout.

In the first round of penalties, both Neves (Al Hilal) and Telles (Al Nassr) missed their shots. In the sixth round, Al Hilal’s goalkeeper Bounou redeemed his team by saving Al Hassan’s shot.
