On May 23, Gazzetta reported that Juventus disagrees with the ruling from the Italian Football Federation’s Arbitration Board, which orders the club to pay outstanding wages and interest to Cristiano Ronaldo.

The dispute between the two parties has been ongoing since 2023. By April 2024, Ronaldo was declared the winner in the lawsuit against Juventus, with the club owing him over $10 million USD in unpaid wages during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Juventus argues that the evidence presented by Ronaldo to sue the club is “not legally binding.” The documents submitted to the court by the former Real Madrid star allegedly include a commitment from Juventus to pay the outstanding wages to the player during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The lawsuit between Ronaldo and Juventus has not yet reached a conclusion.

According to La Vecchia Signora, Juventus feels very confident with their appeal evidence. They also declare their commitment to pursue the case to reverse the situation. Specifically, Juventus does not want to pay over $10 million in debt to Ronaldo.

In 2023, Ronaldo sued Juventus to claim nearly $20 million in unpaid wages. At that time, the arbitrator ruled that both parties must “share responsibility,” so Juventus was only required to pay over $10 million plus interest.

Prior to that, Ronaldo spent 4 seasons representing Turin, playing 134 matches across all competitions and scoring 101 goals. He won 2 Serie A titles, 1 Coppa Italia, and 2 Supercoppa Italiana trophies with the club.
