Forward Kylian Mbappe is in the final months of his contract with PSG. The Parisian club is reluctant to lose the French superstar and has put forth a new proposal.

Sources from Le Parisien affirm that President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the leadership of PSG are set to take the next step in their efforts to retain superstar Kylian Mbappe. Accordingly, the wealthy figure in Paris is preparing an unprecedented offer in European football for the captain of the French national team.

PSG strives to retain Mbappe

The aforementioned source reveals that PSG is prepared to offer a contract with a basic salary of up to 100 million euros per season for Kylian Mbappe, not including hefty bonuses. It is worth noting that in the contract signed in the summer of 2022, Mbappe had a bonus clause of up to 80 million euros at the start of the season, but the player is believed to have waived this bonus.

Additionally, Fayza Lamari, who also serves as the mother and representative of Kylian Mbappe, is said to receive a handout believed to be the ‘largest in football history’ that an agent can receive. This figure is more than three times the reported offer of 30 million euros per season that Real Madrid extended to Mbappe. Real is reportedly cautious about offering Mbappe excessively high wages to maintain harmony within the team’s dressing room. Toni Kroos is currently Real’s highest earner, with players like David Alaba, Luka Modric, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Junior rounding out the top five.

Real Madrid does not want to create a significant salary gap between Mbappe and the rest of the team, including emerging stars like Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo. However, to compensate, Real has reportedly included certain bonuses to improve Mbappe’s income, ensuring he is not disadvantaged when playing in Spain.

Will Mbappe Join Real Madrid in the Summer of 2024?

But this is not the craziest offer Kylian Mbappe has received. In the summer of 2023, Al Hilal, a wealthy club, even extended an invitation to the ‘Golden Boy’ of French football to come and play in Saudi Arabia. With just one season with Al Hilal, Mbappe would have received a salary, bonuses, and other income totaling 700 million euros. In addition, PSG would have received a transfer fee of 300 million euros. However, Mbappe turned down the offer.
